Serious Discussion Concerning Various Types of Anabolic Steroids
Almost everyone is familiar with anabolic steroids and recognize the reality that they are in use by athletes. However, several types of steroids exist, and each has it’s own distinct action. Athletes aren’t the only users of steroids. Numerous steroids have uses exclusive to the medical community. Corticosteroids, which are synthesized from cholesterol, are produced in the adrenal glands. These chemical compounds are fat soluble. A whole industry has been built based upon the synthetic production of these steroids due to their commercial appeal. Anabolic steroids, corticosteroids, and androgenic steroids are the three classes into which the synthetic steroids fall.
Some steroids have both anabolic and androgenic effects. One of these is Parabolan. Testosterone is strong, but Parabolan is five times stronger than testosterone. One benefit the users of Parabolan really appreciate is that it not only burns fat cells, but it revs up the growth of muscle cells as well. The catabolic action is decreased when someone takes Parabolan and, as a result, allows muscle mass to increase. Body builders like the fact that Parabolan discourages the "destructive metabolism" of the catabolic process. This process is responsible for the breakdown and release of protein in the muscles, which is counter-productive for bodybuilders, who prefer to retain the protein. Steroids such as Parabolan, which allow the muscle cells to retain more protein, is very sought-after by bodybuilders. Parabolan is called a "nutrient partitioning agent." What this means is that from the foods a body builder eats, less will be converted into fat and more into muscle.
One of the most common types of anabolic steroid is the oral classification, and the form is usually in pills. The pill form is also, as a rule, much easier to come by. That, coupled with the convenience of taking it orally, makes these pill popular with unenlightened users. One of the dire consequences for someone who takes the oral form of an anabolic steroid is that there is a much greater danger for adverse effects that can be very serious.
Another reason taking anabolic steroids by pill is so popular is the fact that they enter the body quickly. And, conversely, another factor users appreciate is that the pill form of anabolic steroids is much quicker to leave the body than anabolic steroids that are injected in the muscle mass. High ranking athletes, nevertheless, are reputed to use the anabolic steroids in both their injectable form and oral form, at the same time.
Nandrolone Decanoate steroid is sold commercially as "Deca Durabolin." There are other steroids that are close in chemical composition to Nandrolone Decanoate and these all go by the name Deca. This compound is not thought of as being as dangerous regarding side effects. Conversely, if they use Deca, bodybuilders will not see the same results in enhanced muscle mass that they might find in other steroids. Deca is considered a very mild steroid and it’s not as beneficial for athletes looking to enhance their performance. One positive use of Deca is to help HIV patients increase their body weight. Adverse reactions to Deca make it well-received and tolerated in the treatment of people who are HIV-positive. But there are risks for what are called, androgenic side effects.
However, some of the types of anabolic steroids - as well as those in other classes - haven’t really exhibited any positive therapeutic benefit to the user. As a result, these particular steroids became "controlled substances" in an effort to stop them from being manufactured and used.
Nevertheless, exhibition and model bodybuilders, for example, can still get advantageous results from the use of these steroids. It’s either feast or famine as to the documentation one can find on these various substances. Some of them have had major research and are well-documented, while others have had their research cut off before it was anywhere near done. From time to time it will become apparent that it is no longer plausible, or even worth the time and trouble, to continue to waste time doing research on steroids that are not widely available.
